Third and last cup match

2 weeks ago, we played our final cup match. We had already lost our first two games unfortunately, but that didn’t bring our spirits down. Since we weren’t advancing anyway, at least the pressure was off and we could just focus on having fun and getting to know eachother in the field. 

We kicked off the evening with a delicious pasta pesto dinner at Lara’s place, and we also introduced Anna to the Harambee doorgeefsysteem, very important of course!

After dinner, we faced the classic challenge: getting everyone to the out game. Too many people, not enough cars! It was a bit of a struggle, but we somehow managed to squeeze all 9 of us into 4 cars. Let’s just say getting to out games won’t be an issue this year 😂

With the new season starting, it was also important to teach our new members the match songs. Some of them might not be the sweetest, but the reactions from our first years were absolutely priceless.

Unfortunately, the match ended in a 0–3 loss, but that still didn’t kill our spirit, because we had something else to celebrate…

It was Elena’s birthday! We surprised her with a lovely carrot cake with candles, at least, the ones that hadn’t already been blown out by Mette. Luckily, Mette was sweet enough to relight them.

We sang "Happy Birthday" to Elena, enjoyed the cake, and then headed home after having a nice and fun match.
