OPERATION "Neede Next''

Commando's log: Friday, 6 March 2026 - Mission Passed

Filed by commando: TheLaW

Our very next mission was against the same opponent we had just faced. Even though we won that previous battle, it wasn’t a victory we felt proud of. The commandos knew we could do better.

So the entire week became preparation for redemption. Extra training. Extra focus. Everyone came into this battle determined to show what we were really capable of.

Set 1 — The Stolen Victory

We opened the battle exactly how we wanted to: sharp, focused, and energetic. Within minutes we were leading 6 - 0, and it looked like the plan was working perfectly. But focus slipped. Little by little the enemy closed the gap until they caught up completely. The set turned tense, and suddenly we were the ones chasing. When the scoreboard showed 22–20 in their favor, it looked like they were about to take the set.

Then coach made a crucial decision, a double substitution, giving us three attackers at the net while the setter moved to the back line. The adjustment worked immediately. With renewed firepower we fought back and stole the set 26–24 right from under them.

Set 2 — Flawless Execution

After that escape, the commandos settled in.

From this point on, the match became about execution. All week we had trained for specific situations, and now it was simply time to apply them. We began testing different strategies and movements to tire out the opponent. Everything clicked. The attacks were sharp, the defense held steady, and the enemy couldn’t keep up with the rhythm. We controlled the entire set and secured a dominant 25–16 victory.

Set 3 — Tactical Tipping

The enemy came into the third set fighting harder, desperate to take at least one point from the match. But we had other plans. Instead of relying on power attacks, we changed tactics. We started tipping the ball instead of smashing it. That’s when we noticed something important. The enemy was exhausted. Their reactions were slower, their defense less organized. They tried to fight through it, but their legs were already gone. We kept applying the same strategy until the set was ours. We won the set 25 - 18.

Set 4 — Riding the Wave

By the fourth set the momentum was fully ours. We simply rode the wave we had created. The enemy was frustrated and struggling to deal with our strategic tipping, and every point we gained made it harder for them to recover. The commandos stayed disciplined, stayed patient, and closed the match with confidence 25 - 17.

Final Debrief

This was the victory we wanted.

Not just a win but a response.
Preparation turned into execution.
Doubt turned into dominance.

The comeback battle was won.
